March 20th and home!

I have been home for a couple of days and couldn't be happier! I missed my routine so much, it was funky trying to adjust at my moms being without it, but it fell back into place quickly.

It was a nice train ride, wasn't as long as I was dreading and definantly liked it more than flying. Coming back there was a little snafu with a railroad bridge, but it was still a great trip.

My first day back was kind of hard. I was so nervous she forgot me or something.. but am glad to say, she didn't! She just wasn't too sure about me putting her back to sleep, but that's later. Bill picked me up from the bus station because Nikki and Linda were at the resturaunt for Bill and Linda's 37th anniversary. When I walked into the restaurant and saw Ella, I couldn't hold my smile because I had been looking forward to it for a week. She stared at me as I walked up to her.. and stared.. and stared.. and stared lol, with a total blank exepression, then slowly she started to get a smile, and it was like poof! Recognition!, and I got a big smile. It made my heart happy. The whole dinner was just spent watching her and gazing at her, and staring at her. I really didn't think much would have changed in a week... but a lot had.. She started doing these smiles since I left, they almost look fake because it is a huge nose wrinkle and cheeser grin. She also started doing milk signs like a pro, which she did before but was just every once in a while. She seems so much smarter in one week too, little things that I hadn't seen before, amazed me.

That first night was rough. I think what made it so hard, was the fact that I got here so late, which left no time to play or help her re adjust to the old routine/ me. She was ok with me at the restaurant and didn't mind me when at the house but wasn't sure of me holding her when it got close to bed time and looked for Nicole a lot, so we switched. I thought when she woke up in the middle of the night, maybe she wouldn't notice because she was sleepy but boy was I wrong lol.. she flipped and looked very confused. It was the opposite of what she had been used to for the past week so was understandable, but made me very nervous.. I thought our bond had been somehow broken and would take a very long time to repair.

The next morning, from the beginning to the end of the day, I tried to be there and play and walk with her and re-bond. I think it really helped because by the end of the day it was like I hadn't left *phew* and all was right with the world :). I have had a wonderful time the past few days of being back, she is an awesome baby to be around and am very glad I get the chance to see her grow up.

Now she is going to be 1 years old next week!! Growing up is certainly what she has been doing! I am excited yet sad, but glad she is becoming her own person.

I got a micro sd card adapter today, so will hopefully be uploading a lot of her newborn/ baby pics and videos from my old phone, will be chronologicaly out of order, but at least it will finally be online.

Oh yea.. so.. we are hopefully moving within the next couple of months (I know you are excited mom) to Burney.. We think it will be the best for now, and is a good step in the right direction for all of us. Hopefully we can get the logistics figured out shortly so we know exactly where we stand. More to come on those shananigans!

Tc, good night, adios and all that good stuff!

Oh my gosh! I totally forgot about today's events!

Today, we all (myself, Nicole, Ella, Bill, Linda, Beth and Aaron) went to an animal show/mini zoo type thing at Moorepark College. There was a skit show about a town called "One horse" - *Neigh* that get's robbed but avenged by a team of highly trained animals. It was a good show, Ella had fun with the animals and audience's clapping, *neighing*, and cheering. After the show we went to look at all of the caged animals, there were a lot of birds, some reptiles, a Lion and a Mountain Lion. After all of the animal peeping we went to another show about what animals eat to gain their strength, but it was a hard show for the kids to sit through (totally understandable, it was boring for us adults as well) so they went to walk around with Grampa Bill and Beth. It got uncomfortably hot and the shade became sparse, so we ate lunch and called it a day. They had a fun morning with the animals and each other though, so made the trip worth it. I am looking forward to Ella's second trip to the real zoo on her birthday. It's suprising how in tune she is to the animals and how much she see's at her age. Our last trip to the zoo with her and Aaron went very well, but it was hard with both, I am excited to devote all of our animal watching time with her alone.

K, good night and sleep tight!
